CHA time again which means NEW Punky Sprouts books!! This one is "Spunky Sprout" (how great are the names?!) (Junk in my Punk is another new one, heeee!) Anyway yet another fabulous book full of all sorts of great shapes and textures.
The first page is canvas (my fave) which felt like cardboard by the time I was done because I repainted it so much. I change my mind with the direction I'm going a LOT with scrapbooking (I don't plan ahead, I just do it and usually regret it and try to fix it later) so repositionable adhesives and canvas are two of my favorite supplies. You can do just about anything to canvas and a quick coat of paint fixes it :) I finally settled on misting with Tattered Angels "Starfish" (a bright pinkish red) and then "whitewashing" over it to tame down the color. Then I ran it through my printer for the quote and went over the big words with an American Crafts Galaxy Marker in white.
Love the mini tag pages! Raided Joanns quilting section for more fabrics to match the papers. These little handmade twisty flowers are my favorite thing right now.
The newest feature in the Punky albums this time is the addition of corrogated cardboard! I've never used it before so it was fun trying to figure out how to make it work (biggest challenge: getting things to stick!). The covers of book are also corrogated but I left it unexposed.
Supplies: American Crafts (paper, thickers, adhesive), Technique Tuesday (stamps), Bo Bunny (rub ons), Kaiser Craft (pearls), Making Memory (brads), Martha Stuart (butterfly punches)
